What is Lodi like. Matt - I was Told you know so I hope you read this. Is there a lot of cover or is it just a field or woods? Me and My friends made a paintball field out of these, they rule. If there is not enough cover, tell me if you need me to bring a ton, so we can make bunckers and stuff out of them. www.box.net/shared/6fgh39p3ca

Lodi is a village in Medina County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,061 at the 2000 census. Founded in 1811, Lodi is the oldest settlement in Medina County. It was originally called Harrisville, in honor of the family that founded it. It was later renamed to Lodi, the Indian chief who lived nearby; to prevent confusion with another village in Ohio. Ainsworth Street, part of the 'Downtown Circle', is named after Chief Lodi's Daughter. Lodi is located at 41°1′59″N, 82°0′42″W (41.033059, -82.011774)GR1, along the East Fork of the Black River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.47% is water. -Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia. Hehe, sorry man, it was just a perfect set-up. Honestly, if I had to wager, I'd bring them anyway, as long as they're easy to transport; that way if we do want to take a stab at building something, or at least trying out different tactics/drills, we at least have them. But if we don't use them this saturday, no real loss there. Boy Scout Motto: Always be prepared.

Unless there is something inside of them to greatly reduce their speed, BBs from my gun will go through both sides of a corrugated cardboard box, just a warning as i will be there. Also i thought BEAST was about milsim arisoft. Im certain a bullet from any gun would go through both sides of a corrugated cardboard box and come out with enough velocity to kill.

Does anybody know were this place is, or how to get there? Last i heard we are still waiting on an address from matt. My gun fires at ~320fps and will stay that way until the end of April when i am adding a new spring and a tight bore/silencer setup. I fired m,y gun at ~50ft and the BBs went through, not all of the time but still at a high enough percentage that i had to stop and switch to a shoe box with cloth inside to stop the BBs.

I know what I am talking about
DIDN"T YOU LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!
The one side is shot up and the other side is flawless.
THE BBs CANNOT GO THROUGH!!!! I shoot at up to 350 FPS and it WILL NOT GO THROUGH!!! and I have pounded the thing on full auto at 15 feet.
There you go, best cover ever.
Oh, and the milism thing, who cares, cover is cover and you can still be as realistic as possible.
WE CANNOT AFFORD TO SHOOT UP HOUSES, so we shoot up what we can.

Im not saying shoot up houses, im saying that boxes are highly unrealistic and we should stick to only natural item that can be found in the woods to create cover.

Yeah, but these things are reat to manipulate cover and give tons of different senarios.
We don't want to only live off the land, because it is not all the same everywhere else, so atleast this way we could make forts and stuff, it would be fun. Practice is cancelled anyway.

Actually, cardboard boxes are a decent and cheap milsim cover in my mind, because you're both right. Some BBs will go through them completely, but just remember that real bullets go through some building materials sometimes. Thats what will make the cardboard more interesting. Its taking a chance, will it hit you through the cardboard, or won't it?

First off Im not sure that the practice has been canceled. I just talked to Matt (civilwarlife) and he said that he had directions and we were probably carpooling from Middleburg, and he would be e-mailing out times and directions shortly. So make sure your e-mail is up in the contact info page.
Secondly as for the issue with the cardboard boxes being unrealistic. What if we just say that the boxes are filled with something heavy enough to stop a bullet. How many movies have you seen with someone hiding behind a box in a warehouse? Boxes usually have something in them. Having something is a whole lot better than reenacting civil war battles in a open field. In airsoft we do the best we can. In the summer with heavy foliage it makes it hard to hit someone that that would be easy with a real gun or when only a interior wall is between you and enemy, with a real weapon you could shoot through the wall that is no an option in airsoft. Lastly this is a practice! not a major game, the idea is to practice and get better, so we use what we can. Just some things to think about.

Thank you, good point about the foliage too.
Just to reiderate, the bbs cannot go through, trut me 50 bbs on full auto will not pierce it at 350 fps from 15 feet.

Practice is still on but.........Matt has to run a gauntlet now of us with our airsoft guns...........naked.Lol No, he just going to have to apologize for not getting the directions out sooner. Honky and I were going to go a pick up game in the Dayton area but decided that it's not worth trying now. But also he will be marked for the day. (Evil Grin) So everyone that plains on going meet at the Denny's on Bagley Road at 9 am so we can eat, have coffee, etc. then we'll drive to the field.
