Hi, I'm Ian, and I just joined the board today. I've been playing airsoft for 5 years and now I'm serius. I'm 16 and working on my licence. I also do woodsball paintball and I am a Revolutionary War Reenactor other than airosft. I commanded a team here in Westerville for about a year and it disolved due to that only me and one other were very serius players. The biggest issue is finding people who play and appreciate airsoft as a Mil-Sim sport.
I have never been to a skirmish, and never really been anywhere made for airsoft. Most I've had was 10 people in a woodsgame on a paintball course my Uncle owns.
I need some info on this team...where is it, what are the requirements, how many players, and what kind of action does it see.
I am a leader, and a good soldier. I take pride in being a good shot and I am very flexible. I can be on the front of an assault, the rear for cover, or on my own scouting positions...and I perform well in all.
I am equipt with a mock DMR M16A4 (echo), WE-Tech M1911, and a UTG mk96 (soon). I appologise for the weapons, but I just started work and the weather is too bad for me to be out doing lawn care.
I already have a full combat uniform for woodland, desert, and SWAT, MOLLE system and more gear.
Thanks
Ian

Welcome aboard Ian, lets us know if you have any questions. We have two vets of the Iraq campaign and one Civil War reenactor as well. As for your guns they're fine, we all got to start some where since not everyone can get top of the line right off the bat.

Westerville eh? That is quite a distance from here. But you are lucky to be that close to Airsoft Arms.
Anyway, welcome to the forum. And could ya give me a little more info on this gear you speak of? ;D

And could ya give me a little more info on this gear you speak of? ;D I'm a stone's throw from Airsoft Arms and I go there as much as I can. Soon I hope to get a tightbore after my rifle from them. Here is my loadout: OD MICH 2000 model replica with a reversable woodland/3 color desert camo. OD MOLLE plate carrier -2 double AR mag pouches (3 mags per pouch) -double pistol mag pouch -buttpack -universal holster Knee pads Jungle combat boots shooter's gloves camo net (in place of a ghilli) low profile paintball mask if needed Airborne Beret cover I own full BDU's of woodland, 3 color desert, OD and kakhi. As well as a full WWII/Korea/Vietnam loadouts. My primary weapon is an M16A4 with a 3 point, 8 extra mags, vertical grip system, and a Guarder red dot scope. Secondary is a WE-Tech M1911 GBB with 2 mags Rifle is an L96 OD sniper's rifle with a 50mm illuminated scope and a harris bipod (on the way) That's pretty much off the top of my head what I have...I may have more I forgot, but I'm tired from school. I also was not answered how I join the team?

Well as I am not a member of BEAST (I'm just here to help the team), I can't speak on behalf of BEAST. However, I would go so far to say that BEAST is a very open team and that all you really have to do is show up to practices and be personable. OD MOLLE plate carrier -2 double AR mag pouches (3 mags per pouch) -double pistol mag pouch -buttpack -universal holster What brands? I'm a total gearwhore if you didn't notice

I'm a total gearwhore if you didn't notice [/quote] Not a problem...there is no brand. They are military issue...the only real identification is the fact they are MOLLE...so yeah, I guess MOLLE is what they are. I got my vest from Airsoft Arms as a MOLLE plate carier and then modded from Evike. I can post some pics of it if you want...

Actually, the military outsources a lot of their modular gear to different companies (including SDS, Eagle, etc.) so chances are a couple of your pouches are actually made by a name brand company.
But yes, pics are always nice. I like pics ;D

here are the front and back I took a while back. The pouches are moved a little more and I have name tapes on it. I may also look into a rifle bag for the L96 to mount over my left shoulder next to the pack.

Not a bad gear setup. Better than what I got which Desert Storm/Vietnam era gear.

I'm getting a small utility pouch soon and an M14 double mag for my M21 later. The company I think is Voodoo.
Yeah, I just threw on my tunic for a backdrop. I've got pics of all of my gear as it is now I'll try to track down.

I owned the same plate carrier a while back (mine was the CTD one, but they are quite literally exactly the same). Man that thing was thick and heavy. Those mag pouches look very loosely attached to the PC. If you were running full speed with those pouches full, I'd be afraid of them flopping around and knockin' ya in the family jewels

The reason why it was so low was for my M16 on it's 3 point would be more comfortable...the gun was, I wasnt
