I figure we should do this. We should get rifles that share a common mag so we can share mags so this in the guns we're going to use.
Any TM,TM Clone, or CA M4,M15,M16 rifle JLS SCAR And if people can afford them L85's that can fit TM M4 mags.
It just be a way to make things work better team wise since we agreed on a standard sidearm why not a standard riles that will work with the same mags. I'm not saying we should do this right away either since I know some of us are tight with money right now.

New Review Of The JLS SCAR From Midwestairsofters.com by SFC Martyn of Shadow Company.
JLS S.C.A.R. in Tan & Black « on: Today at 05:00:43 PM » Reply with quoteQuote O.K. This is a review of the S.C.A.R. in Tan & Black. both owned & reviewed by Ilocosr & SFC Martyn.
Pros:
* Straight out of the box, ours shoots on average about 340 FPS with 20 grams bbs. * It seems that the batteries were charged and tested before it was shipped. * This AEG has a sturdy feel. * It has a very close feel and weight of the real S.C.A.R. * Passed the "Martyn" Shake test. Nothing rattles for the exception of the normal magazine rattle in the magwell. * The Rail System is metal instead of the plastic that you usually see in the mid end AEGs. * It seems that you can remove the outer barrel and placed a scew on silencer on the AEG. * The Bi-pod handgrip feels really plastic but sturdy. Has a good Egronomic feel. Strong spring to launch out the bi-pod. * Using different brands of M Series Magazines (Mags, Star, ICS, Classic Army) fits and works properly. * The magazine that it came with looks and feels like it is a Classic Army full metal high cap mag (360 rounds). * The ROF with an 8.4 V 1100 Mah stick battery (in which it was shipped with) is 900 Rounds a minute or 15 rounds per second. * Using a 9.6 V 1400 Mah battery, the ROF has raised up dramatically. * By using different type and weights of bbs (Matrix .20 Grams & 21st Century Airsoft .25 Grams). These S.C.A.R.s shoot them straight and accurate. * The barrel and flash hider are metal. * The fold down front and rear sights are also metal. * The Butt stock has a rubber coating and feels comfortable.
Cons:
* We both did not like how it feels when the stock is folded. It feels tight and not much room for your trigger finger to move around. It will be more difficult for player with large hands to put their finger into the trigger well. * The front body pins feels is iffy. Be careful in removing and replacing the pin into the body when replacing or removing the battery. * There is no way how to adjust the elevation of the sights both the front and rear are fixed, for the exeption of the windage in which you can adjust. * Metal flash hider has a cheap coating of orange paint. Easily removed for the hardcore mil-sim players.
Overall:
On the scale of 1 - 10 Both Ilocosr & I rated our S.C.A.R. an 8. We feel that this SCAR has a very good potential in totally upgradeable metal gearbox. We have not attempt to modify our S.C.A.R. at this moment. Also we did not test the S.C.A.R.s with all different type of battery sizes and Mahs. For the exception of the 8.4 V 1100 Mah & a 9.6 V 1400 Mah.

Okay, that's a gun I can get behind. I can throw a scope on that thing, toss in a few upgrades and get some good shots downfield.
The included bipod is a nice touch, too.

I would do more research on these guns still. Example, what type of gearbox is it, what upgrade parts is it compatible with? It sounds like a questionable review because I would rate a Classic Army gun as an 8 or 9 out of 10.

According to Evike it's a version 2 all-metal that's completely compatable with TM parts.

I don't really care what we get just as long as it can be upgraded and take the M series TM compatible mags.

Just giving you a fair warning about airsplat, if they screw up your order don't say we didn't warn you.

My G&P M4 Ras II takes m16/4 mags. It is cool to have a gun theme for a crew, but it also sucks to have been that can't supply themselves and will depend on others for gear. I don't want to have to avoid using my SL9 due to mag differences.

I don't want to have to avoid using my SL9 due to mag differences. No one said you had to give up using your SL9. Just people who don't have a special role in the team should have M series guns. I mean it also doesn't hurt to have special weapons either.

What is a VSR clone? If it is anything like the VSR, then I really hope you are not actually planning on sniping with that (unless everyone you are playing has springer pistols).
My old sniper APS2-SV Around 575 FPS (target practice only) 3-12x56 illuminated scope Custom fit bipod and silencer. Inner barrel.
That can out class AEGS, but not by much seeing as it is bolt-action.
