Moved to the events section because Irene is an event Modified "Irene 4" to "Irene 5" because Irene 4 already occured I attended OP: Irene 4 and it was incredible. RPGs, APCs, IEDs, absolute chaos. Irene 5 will occur around late September, early October of 2007. The exact date and location won't be disclosed until much closer to the event. The registration for the event ended in less than 12 hours. If you plan on attending this event, you had better be prepared to pay a lot of money and watch the oplionclaws.com forums very closely.

If people from the team do go I will see if my Aunt and Step-uncle will let you camp on their property if you deside to have a lay over to and from Irene. But the problem being my aunt has never really wanted to be nice to me.........ever. But, my step-uncle is the final say and more than likely say yes if I ask just as long as you guys show him a bit about airsoft since he's intrested in it. Plus Airsoft Arms is 20 miles from their place.

Hate to tell you, but Irene has never occured anywhere near Airsoft Arms (either of them). It originally started in Georgia but the last three have occured at Zussman, the Urban Combat Training Facility in Fort Knox in Kentucky.
The closest event in the Lion Claws series is Northern Wind, which takes place in Springfield Ohio (the Striker's field). However, it seems as though John Lu (the organizer of the LC events) is getting quite skiddish on keeping Northern Wind in Springfield. It is possible that future Northern Winds could occur elsewhere.

I don't think you understood what I said Steve that can stay over night at my Aunt's place on there way to and from Irene while on the road if they didn't want to go from Cleveland to KY strait on throught because my Aunt lives in the Cinncy area. And where she lives is close to AA's Cinncy location.

I was told by a guy from TAC that if you've gone before your more likely to get in a whole lot easier, So see if you can get a spot before you start planning any further.

I'm not really planning at all. The website for Lionclaws ops all over the country still doesn't have any OPI:5 info. It's all still Irene 4.

More info on Irene 5 will come out a couple of months before the event (which is around early October). Also, for Irene 4, John Lu had two different registrations: one for LC-series veterans and specifically for new players. Both filled up extremely fast, but at least there was a non-vet reg. for new players.

At this time, I've given up hope of attending Irene this year. I was recently clued in by Steve as to what it costs to attend, and I think my budget is not big enough to allow it. I will instead attempt to hit Northern Wind this year.
