Today sitting bored in my apartment i started a little target practise. I set up the shoe box i got from my boots on a chair roughly 42 feet away (unfortunatly the maximum possible distance in my apartment) and began shooting at it. At first i was just shooting at it to see if i could hit it every time but after discovering that this was far too easy i turned it around and started shooting for the smallest possible cluster size. After about an hour of shooting i ended up with a cluster size of 6 inches across. (I got this number by measuring the distance between the two hole that were farthest apart). My aim in this is to improve that down as far as possible before i hit the field. I understand this this is not really real world applicable becuase on the field i would not simply be on a knee shooting for an hour straight but it is something small i can do to practise when the weather is less than favorable. I also understand that this does not include the wind at all. I will update this thread as i do this excercise. I also encourage everyone out there that can find 42 unobstructed feet in their house to do that same thing and show us your results!
