Sheila arrived today. Just kidding, I don't have, nor want a name for my gun, other than "my baby". So I'm excited. But there is still the problem with my small battery. It seems to drain really quickly in my M15a4. What is the normal lifespan of a battery? At first I thought there might be a short in my gun, but now I'm thinking its the battery. Opinions? Knowledge? Thanks.

I don't have a sidearm now. Getting one for my birthday. We just need to choose which one.

Why don't you try hooking the battery for your UTG up to your M15 (I believe they both use the same connector) and see how long that one lasts. If it dies quickly, you know there is a problem with the gun. If it lasts a normal amount of time, you know its your mini battery.

Haha, wanna know the results? I took the battery (8.4/1100) off the charger after seeing it light up indicating "full charge". I plug it in, throw on a magazine and...nothing. It makes a sound like it WANTS to fire, but it doesnt actually fire. Try one of my other batteries (9.6/1100, the one that drains quickly) and it fires. So I don't know.

Does the 8.4v 1100mah battery work correctly with the UTG MP5? If not, the problem probably rests with your charger. If it does, then the 8.4v probably isn't strong enough to get the Classic Army working properly. It also means that the battery for your M15 is somehow damaged.
Do some more testing and get back to us.
Or you can drop it off with me and I'll test the gun with my batteries and the battery out with my guns.

The 8.4v 1100mah battery works well in the UTG, but not in the CA. The 9.6v 1100mah battery works even better in the UTG, but drains quickly in the CA. My 9.6v 2200mah battery works beautifully in the CA, with no problems that I have yet encountered. That's really all the testing I can do, I don't know if you want to give it a go or not. Let me know if you do.

Well it sounds to me like all the batteries aside from the 9.6v 2200mah are too underpowered for your gun to properly function. If you stick to higher volt / higher amped batteries, you should be good to go.
Since your AEG has upgrades in it, you can expect it to require stronger batteries.
However, I have no problem running some tests with my batteries. Perhaps we can find some time to get together and test these things out.

Thats the thing. I didn't think it had upgrades in it. BC replaced a few things, but I think it was just wear and tear, not upgrades.
